Meet The Guide
Adventure Rocks is an outdoor adventure guiding organization founded by a Cape Town local hiking guide looking to share his love of the outdoors with locals and visitors to his home town. The guide, Khalid has been hiking the various mountain in Table Mountain and its surrounds for over 20 years and has lead many groups on various trails across the Cape Peninsula and surrounding mountain ranges.
Khalid is passionate about sharing his love of the mountains with locals who have previously not had the opportunity to explore due to the legacies of the historical apartheid government and often takes groups of locals on various routes around the Cape Peninsula to enjoy it’s natural beauty.
Khalid is also an active volunteer in the local Mountain Search and Rescue teams with over 6 years of experience and is affiliated with the local @SafetyMountain tracking initiative, headed by the Hikers Network organization. Including offering private guiding, we also offer the unique experience of hiking with local hiking enthusiasts and the having the opportunity of learning about local history and culture.

Born and bred in Cape Town, I possess an intimate knowledge of the terrain that only a local can offer. As a seasoned mountain rescue volunteer with the Wilderness Search and Rescue organization and a senior member of the Hikers Network, my expertise extends beyond just guiding—I am deeply involved in ensuring the safety and well-being of hikers.
