Adventure Rocks Terms and Conditions

Bookings

After a date is agreed upon you will be sent a Quotation. If you agree you will then be issued an invoice and once the deposit has been paid your booking will be secured.

Guests who fail to pay the deposit prior to departure will not be allowed to join the trip and standard cancellation policy will apply.

Additionally, Adventure Rocks reserves the right to decline or cancel a reservation should the individual’s health or behaviour impede the welfare or enjoyment of other guests.

Client personal property

All personal property are the responsibility of the participant and Adventure Rocks cannot be held liable for damage, loss or theft of such items.

Payment

Deposits

Family hikes, Day hikes and Adventure hikes

A deposit of 30% of the cost of your tour is to be paid in order to secure your booking. The remaining balance for your booking is to be paid on the day of the tour.

Multi day hikes

A deposit of 50% of the cost of your tour is to be paid to secure your booking. The remaining balance for your booking is to be paid a two weeks before the tour.

Adventure Rocks will send an invoice and pre-departure package that includes “what to bring” packing list upon receipt of the participant’s deposit. Prices are subject to change.

Cancellation

Cancellation by the guest

The cancellation policies outlined below takes into consideration the costs Adventure Rocks incurs long before travelers ever depart. Adventure Rocks strictly adheres to the following cancellation policies.

Family hikes, Day hikes and Adventure hikes

  • Full refund of the deposit will be given if the booking is cancelled by the guest one week before the tour date.
  • 50% of the deposit will be refunded if the booking is cancelled by the guest a day before the tour date.
  • No refund will be given if the guest cancels on the day of the tour.

Multi day hikes

This will vary according to the accommodation and permits booked.

Cancellation by Adventure Rocks

Adventure Rocks reserves the right to cancel or postpone any trip for force majeure or any other circumstances beyond its control. Adventure Rocks also reserves the right to cancel any trip if sign up is inadequate and group size does not meet the minimum requirement. In such cases, Adventure Rocks will refund tour costs to participants but is not responsible for additional expenses incurred in preparation for the trip (e.g. non-refundable permits, visa fees, gear, insurance or medical expenses).

Tour Itineraries

Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but itineraries are flexible and often depend on unpredictable conditions such as weather, road conditions, mechanical breakdown, accidents, political stability and others which could influence and change the planned running of the trip/course. Adventure Rocks will endeavour to keep the clients informed of any changes and will strive to ensure that safety is never compromised.

Indemnity Agreement

I am aware of the dangers of personal injury or death inherent in mountaineering, hiking, scrambling, and activities incidental thereto to which I may be exposed as a result of my participation in Adventure Rocks activities and I understand and accept that my participation in any such activities is at my own risk for which I accept all responsibility.

I, accordingly, hereby irrevocably waive, relinquish and abandon all claims of any nature whatsoever which I may have against Adventure Rocks, arising out of my participation in trips or tours for loss or damage to property, personal injury or loss of life, howsoever caused.

Photographic and Video records

Adventure Rocks reserves the right to take photographs or video footage of any of its trips and to use such photographic or video material for promotional and/or commercial purposes.
